Menu Example

This page uses a bare-bones example of the menu system on this site to help understand how it is structured. I only use one level of fly-out but you can add many more.

This menu system is not my original work. I adapted the menu system I found at: Stu Nicholls' CSS Play Web site.

You can view the source of this page in your browser to see the actual menu structure/code. Or, click to see the actual menu file. Editing this one file changes the menu on every page of the site.

To see the CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) you can view the menu.css file. Changing this file changes the menu styles on every page.

To see a sample page of the original PHP you can view this file which allows seeing the include statments that pull the header and footer into every page on the site.

If you experiment with the HTML and CSS for this menu system be very careful when editing. I suggest you keep an un-edited original copy of the code to reference as you work on your mods. It is extremely easy to break the menu if you're not very careful.
